What we offer
Nuvolos Community Edition (CE) is the full cloud platform service. It is an annual prepaid subscription that provides access, base compute resources, plus additional purchasable Credits for scaling resources and services beyond the plan.
How it works
Nuvolos Subscription ( Annual Seat-Based Access )
Nuvolos’s subscription component is based on the number of users (seats). Additionally, each subscription includes a predefined allocation of compute units and high-performance storage capacity.
Nuvolos offers two primary subscription types: Education and Research. The key distinction between these lies in the expected pre-allocated compute and storage resources.
While Nuvolos provides best practice guidelines tailored to each subscription type, the configuration can be adapted to align with specific customer use cases—ensuring flexibility and fair pricing.
Resource consumption is calculated based on the aggregate of all active accounts belonging to the same subscription. For storage, the maximum capacity available during the subscription term is considered. For compute, the total compute time available over the term is measured.
Nuvolos Credits
Nuvolos credits enable the on-demand allocation of resources, offering flexibility beyond pre-allocated subscription limits. These resources may include compute and storage coverage, cost-effective data-at-rest storage, and access to scalable compute resources.
Credits can be purchased at any time during the subscription term and are eligible for rollover across subscription periods, ensuring sustained value and adaptability to evolving user needs.

FAQ
How much storage, memory, and compute are available in Nuvolos?
By default, Nuvolos offers up to 64 GB RAM of memory. Using Credits, you can custom scale this to up to 500GB RAM. The total compute power available to you is determined by your use case as part of your subscription, but is always available 24/7 regardless. Storage is available on an as-needed basis.
How long can applications run on Nuvolos?
Runtimes will time out if you are idle and the computational load decreases below the threshold where it is considered inactive. You can configure the idle timeouts for up to 24 hours. Upon request we can make applications run indefinitely.
How does Nuvolos implement cost control?
Nuvolos is designed to combine flexibility with cost control. You can scale resources and allocate budgets across multiple instances within your subscription. We also use automated processes to estimate how much utilisation is expected based on your previous usage patters. We will let you know if the predictions indicate that the subscribed resources will be exceeded and provide you with the option to purchase more if you want. If you have a cloud version subscription, you can always track your current usage in the Nuvolos monitoring dashboard.
Is it possible to temporarily use more resources than the plan provides?
It's okay if sometimes you use more resources than what's included in your annual plan. The only requirement is that, on average, your usage over the year should match the amount of resources your plan includes.
